Gathered in Prayer - The Lord's Prayer

The disciples asked Jesus how they should pray. Basically what is the format for prayer? Jesus answered by telling them that a prayer should be simple. He gave them an example in what has become known to many as The Lord’s Prayer.

We can find The Lord’s Prayer in Mathew Chapter 6 and it goes like this:


Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11Give us this day our daily bread. 12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Over the next few days I want to talk a little about prayer. You’ve heard the old sayings like “Prayer Changes Things.” Well, that is true. But what is prayer, really?

Gathered in Prayer - Childhood Cancer

Please pray for all the children who are battling childhood cancer. Please keep the families of those who are fighting cancer in your prayers. Please pray for the niece of a blogger "From This Side of the Pond" who is battling childhood cancer as well.

Please also pray for the families of those dear little ones who were not able to continue the earth side of this fight and have gone on to live with our Heavenly Father....

Gathered in Prayer - Ms. Barbara and Brother Bill

would like to ask everyone out there to pray for two really good friends of mine. They are a very sweet couple. They are both in their 80s. She is a diabetic on dialysis and he is fighting cancer. They both try to take care of one another and they both love each other very much. I call them Ms. Barbara and Brother Bill. Please pray they will be healed of their illnesses and continue to grow older together.
